Death by Chocolate Trifle

img_2286Marhaba !!

It was after ages I tried my hands on a new chocolate dessert. And the only reason I made these was because I saw a box of chocolate cake mix in my pantry. Moreover, I had made caramel sauce that I wanted to finish off. That’s how it went about and a new recipe for chocolate dessert was made.

Rich and decadent chocolate dessert to impress that special someone. It’s so rich and looks so elegant that your guests are sure to get impressed. Super simple, but show stopping; this chocolate trifle with pretty layers of chocolate cake, caramel, fudge, mousse and whipped topping are a definite crowd pleaser. Here’s the recipe;img_2287Ingredients:
1 package chocolate cake mix
4 cups whipping cream
2-3tbsp melted chocolate
1/4 cup caramel sauce
1/4 cup ganache/hot fudge
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup chopped almonds

Method:
1)Bake the chocolate cake according to package instruction. When done remove from the oven and cool completely.
2)Cut the cake into half. Tear or crumble only the half of cake into pieces. Keep the other half aside.
3)In 3 cups of whipping cream add melted chocolate and whisk until well combined. Set aside.
4)In an individual serving bowl, add a layer of cake crumb, then a teaspoon of caramel sauce, then chopped walnuts and almonds, then add a layer of chocolate whipped cream you prepared, then add a layer of cake crumbs again, then add a teaspoon of hot fudge, then a layer of chopped walnuts and almonds, and lastly a thin layer of plain whipped cream. You can then add a bit of caramel sauce/hot fudge and make a design to with the help of toothpick to make it look fancy.Repeat with the same with the other bowls. Chill in the refrigerator overnight.
Serve chilled.
This recipe makes about 15-17 small individual serving bowls.

PS; YOU COULD EXCLUDE THE HOT FUDGE AND CARAMEL LAYER IF YOU DON’T HAVE THEM IN HAND. IT TASTES GOOD EITHER WAYS.

img_2513Marhaba !!

Here’s a quick dinner idea for busy week nights. It’s healthy, delicious and super easy to make. You could go without adding the chicken, making it a veggie noodles version. This is my to-go noodles recipe. Read below to get the recipe;
img_2511Ingredients:
150 grams spaghetti/egg noodles
150 grams chicken, thinly sliced
2tbsp vegetable oil
3 garlic cloves, grated
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2maggi cube
2 large eggs, scrambled
1 small onion, sliced
1 small zucchini, julienne cut
1 small carrot, julienne cut
1 small bell pepper, julienne cut
2tbsp soy sauce
1tsp oyster sauce
1tsp worcestershire sauce
1tsp tomato sauce
1/4tsp chili flakes

Method:
Cook the spaghetti according to package instruction. Drain and set aside.
1)Melt butter in a large wok. Stir fry the garlic and chicken together. Toss well and cook until chicken starts to leave water. Season with salt and pepper.
2)Add in onion and cook for a minute or two. Add in zucchini, carrots and bell pepper. Toss it gently and cook for 1 minute only so that the vegetables still keep the crunchy texture. Add maggi cube and toss everything well.
3)Push the chicken and vegetable on one side of the pan/wok and break the eggs. Scramble the eggs and mix it all together.
4)Add the noodles and give it a cook stir. Add in sauce soy, oyster sauce, worcestershire sauce, and tomato ketchup and chili flakes. Mix it all together on high heat for 2 minutes and it’s ready to serve.img_2514

Tandoo-rizza

img_2215Marhaba !!

This recipe has been waiting in my draft from more than a months time. Naming it is a task. Even though I have been typing all this out, I have no clue what I am to name it!! Once you know what to name a recipe, it gets easy. But if you are struggling to find a name, it becomes a task and you are clueless(Ohh Waiitttt; I think I found a name for this).
I know it sounds a bit funny, but it’s okay I guess…. Don’t judge me pleaseeee !!

Coming to the recipe; this pizza is the easiest to make. Once you have the chicken in hand, you could mixx all the ingredients and top it on your pizza base. Whenever I make these, I tend to make them in large quantity; so I can freeze them for later use. Here’s the recipe;img_2218-1Ingredients:
4 pizza base (store brought)
2 cups tandoori chicken shredded
2 medium sized onion, finely chopped
1tsp worcestershire sauce
1tsp soy sauce
1/2tsp oyster sauce
1/2tsp soy sauce
1-1/2tsp chili sauce
1tsp hot sauce
1 cup cheese
Mayonnaise
Chili flakes and oregano

Method:
To make tandoori chicken; marinate chicken breast with chili paste, ginger garlic paste, tandoori masala, salt to taste and lemon. Set aside for 15 mins. Grill the chicken until well done.
1)Shred the chicken and transfer it to a mixing bowl. Add soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, hot sauce, chili sauce and onion. Mix well until well incorporated.
2)Spread mayonnaise on the pizza base. Top with chicken mixture and then scatter cheese. Sprinkle oregano and chili flakes. Repeat the same with other pizza base too. Place them on a baking sheet in the oven tray.
3)Bake in the preheated oven until cheese melts. Takes about 15-20 mins. img_2217
